COVID-19 Knowledge and Tips

Chinaka Holder

Hello there,

We are just checking in and hope you are doing well?

The Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) has invaded and disrupted our lives, leaving us to adjust to a new normal that’s not fun at all.

It is a VERY contagious virus that spreads quickly from human to human.

But how does it spread?

Anytime a person infected with COVID-19 coughs, sneezes, or breathes, they disperse a plume of droplets that settle on surfaces. These droplets can stay on surfaces up to 96 hours depending on the type of surface.

Therefore, if a healthy person touches the infected surface then touch his eyes, nose or mouth, that person can easily become infected with COVID-19.

We cannot see the virus with our naked eye and quite frankly we don’t know who may have it because not everyone shows symptoms of the disease.

So, to ensure everyone’s safety, precautionary measures have been instituted worldwide. As such, we at Chester Drawer, thought that we should share a few tips with you as a reminder of how you can stay safe.

  1. DO NOT touch your face, rub your eyes, pick your nose, bite your nails or put your hands in your mouth.

  1. Wash you hands with soap and water regularly and thoroughly for at least 20 seconds.

  1. Disinfect your hand held devices regularly. Especially your phone.

  1. As far as possible, stay home! If you must go out for essential purposes, consciously remember to stay at least 6 feet away from other persons.

As we live through these uncertain times,  we know that know coping might be easier for some than others. So, we hope that these tips are helpful in managing the situation and calming your concerns.
